Check Out These Halloween Happenings in Atlanta

Just because you're past the trick-or-treat days doesn't mean you can't have fun this Halloween! Why should the kids have all the fun, anyway? Whether you want to dress up and spend the evening downtown or plan to kick it on the couch, here are some of ideas for some grown-up Halloween fun.

Check Out Our Halloween Party

Round up your friends and head over to GENKI Noodles and Sushi’s annual Halloween and costume party! We'll have a live DJ spinning all your favorite songs, plus you'll have your choice of tasty cocktails and exceptional Asian fusion dishes.

The party starts at 9 p.m. and runs until 2 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29. The event is free but you must be 18+ to attend. GENKI's Pokéween Costume Party will go down at our Prado location, at 5590 Roswell Road, Atlanta.

Don't forget to come out in your best Halloween get-up! We'll be having a costume contest and we're looking forward to seeing some creative costumes. Some popular costumes this year include Batman, Harley Quinn, Wonder Woman, Deadpool and the cast from Star Wars: The Force Awakens — Finn, Rey, Kylo Ren, etc. Swing by a Halloween store to pick up a costume or go all out and DIY something. With a little creativity, you’ll end up with the costume that everyone talks about!

And you can end the night on something sweet with our dessert menu! Try our Tempura Fried Cheesecake, a slice of New-York style cheesecake that's been lightly battered and tempura fried. We top it with ice cream and chocolate and strawberry sauces. If cheesecake isn't your thing, we also have Tempura Fried Oreos, Tempura Fried Twinkies and Macha Green Tea ice cream!

GENKI's "Pokéween Costume Party" will go down at our Prado location, at 5590 Roswell Road, Atlanta. The party kicks off at 9 p.m. and runs until 2 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29. The event is free but you must be 18+ to attend.

Hit the Streets for Some Spooky Fun

Atlanta’s Little 5 Points Halloween Festival begins at 4 p.m. Oct. 15. Watch the parade and then head to the vintage shops scattered around the area to find the perfect Halloween costume. Live music plays throughout the event. GENKI Highland is just over a mile from Little 5 Points, so it’s a great choice for dinner after the festivities!

For those looking for a scare, be prepared to jump as you explore Netherworld. The haunted house uses actors and special effects to create an ultra-creepy setting for adults. The haunted house opens at 7 p.m. and closes at midnight through Oct. 31. Each year, the attractions change, so it’s never the same. Boogeymen, cyclops, gargoyles and werewolves are a sampling of the monsters found within the haunted house last year.

Host a Horror Movie Marathon

If you're a film lover who just wants to have a quiet night at home, why not binge watch the best horror films to ever hit the silver screen? Pop some popcorn and snuggle up with your significant other, or invite your friends over and make a party of it. Everyone could bring their favorite horror movie to share with the group. If you're lacking inspiration, add these classics to the list:

  • Poltergeist
  • The Exorcist
  • The Shining
  • Psycho
  • Dawn of the Dead
  • A Nightmare on Elm Street
  • Halloween
  • Carrie

We hope to see you at our Halloween party at GENKI Prado this year! Sign up for Genki's newsletter and get info on the latest events and discounts delivered to your inbox.
