A chill in the air is always a great excuse to try heartier seasonal brews. That’s why GENKI Noodles and Sushi is presenting the latest edition to its extensive selection of artisanal beers: Terrapin Cranberry Pumpkinfest.
Terrapin’s now-retired Pumpkinfest was definitely a huge favorite with GENKI regulars. But the brewery likes to shake things up annually, so this year we’re even more “pumped” to introduce a new pumpkin beer to our beer selection menu — Terrapin Cranberry Pumpkinfest.
Cranberry Pumpkinfest does last year’s version one better by adding cranberries to its flavor profile. And these are anything but synthetic flavor notes. Terrapin adds actual pumpkin to its mash during the brewing process. To that autumnal base, Terrapin throws in traditional pumpkin pie spices. Finally, the beer is combined with just enough real cranberry juice to give this new seasonal favorite a one-of-a-kind flavor that boasts the tartness of cranberry, the richness of pumpkin, hints of nutmeg and other spices and, of course, Terrapin’s renowned beer blend.
A Local Favorite
Based in Athens, Georgia, Terrapin Beer Company is the brainchild of experienced microbrewers John Cochran and Spike Buckowski. Since its founding in 2002, Terrapin developed more than 50 different beers, some seasonal, some available year-round.
Terrapin has won numerous awards for its beers and ales since it was founded in 2002, including a gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival during its very first year in business, and a Gold in the Experimental Beer division during the U.S. Open Beer Championship in 2014.
Also on Tap
Of course, you’ll find plenty of options at Genki’s fully stocked bar. Along with another Terrapin favorite, citrusy Hi-5 IPA, we offer a broad selection of beers and ales, both on tap or in bottles and cans. Other options sure to put you in a fall mood include Argus Cidery Ciderkin and Original Sin Pear Cider.
Not in the beer/ale mood? Check out our extensive wine and sake selection. We offer more than 30 red, white and sparkling wines, among other choices. Our sake offerings should please any connoisseur, with both hot and traditional versions, organized into filtered, unfiltered or sparkling to help you make the best choice to go with your appetizers and entrees.
Our Japanese and Asian fusion meals continue to draw crowds. For a limited time, we’re currently offering a poke menu, inspired the traditional Hawaiian dish similar to sushi, but with its own special qualities. And speaking of sushi, we have a full range of sushi and sashimi options, along with noodle bowls and other inspired dinner and lunch options.
